I stayed in the Lavender Room at Rosewood Corner. It has a lovely, peaceful cottage feel. It is walking distance from all the businesses.

The suite was very comfortable. Quality, fresh clean linen (I'm always a fan of good linen). A bar fridge and kettle were provided. Situated in a lovely garden and within easy walking distance to the centre of town. I can definitely recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and appreciate the effort made for parking. The wall between room 3 and one is just a little thin if you want to sleep a little later on Sunday morning after 6 and the neighbors decide otherwise.
We really enjoyed our stay at Rosewood Corner. The decor and linen are superb, and the hosts are very friendly. Rosewood Corner is a little gem with a private braai, beautiful garden, and its own little kitchenette. It has a queen bed with white linen. It is located just a block from the town centre. We will definitely be back!

No reception. Had to call. Mouse mess in cupboards between linens. No certainty. Everything is open. Gardens are withered and neglected.
We enjoyed the garden setting and staying in the Lavendar Cottage. The room was quite tiny, but perfectly adequate. With power outages we found it challenging that there was only an electric kettle and microwave - which were unusable quite a bit of the time. A small gas cooker would be a great addition.
We were received on short notice. Unfortunately it rained very hard so could not fully experience everything.
In the midst of cold and load shedding, the room was wonderfully warm, it gets sun all day. It was convenient for the length of our stay, walking distance to the whole town (excluding residential area). Host made his garage available at no extra cost. Will stay there again as it is so conveniently close to everything.
The electrical blanket was a big bonus. The hosts were very friendly, the accommodation is very close to the square and the room was comfy with everything we required for our short stay.

Just remember, Clarens is a weekend town. So, there will be loud music Friday night and Saturday night. But the rest of the week it's a gem! The place is really beautiful with lovely seats outside the rooms. The most beautiful flower garden. This is the number 1 place if you want to stay in Clarens. Next to the NG Church and the church bell still works! It was such an unexpected pleasure. The hostess is very nice and they are professional. I would really recommend everyone to stay there. You will not regret it.
The location is perfect, walking distance from the square. Neat cottage with all the necessary facilities. Penny is an excellent hostess.
The road is in a terrible condition until you turn right near Fouriesburg, then the road is drivable again. I arrived after dark and from Fouriesburg's side the GPS takes you to the left through the location to Rosewood Corner, be careful! For the price range, this is a far better deal than most guesthouses. I can recommend the accommodation to prospective guests. The road from there to Bethlehem is in fairly good condition.
We had a very nice stay. The electric blanket and heaters helped a lot. The unit was not serviced, but we prefer it that way. Nobody bothered us. We could ask anything at any time, the main house was always accessible. The lapa outside has everything needed. Nice barbecue with music concert at the pub across the street on Saturday.

Rooms neat, but there is only an outdoor kitchen which is shared between 4/5 rooms and is relatively small (3m×2m). No microwave oven. No kettle in kitchen, only in rooms. No washing up facilities at kitchen or in rooms for dishes. Advertised as pet-friendly, but the yard's gates don't close tightly, and we were looked at quite strangely the first day already that the 2 dogs (small) were sleeping inside, even though we brought their beds with us. When we returned to town after 2.5 hours on Sunday, our room was opened and the dogs outside in the yard. We were informed they apparently barked. If they ended up in the street or under a car, I don't know what I would do. So think carefully if you choose the Rosewood Corner because of your four-legged children. Our room was small, but the children felt spacious. Clean bedding and the bookshelves are a lovely idea. However, hot water was not available every morning. We got a cold shower 2 mornings and the kids one evening and one morning. Location couldn't be better. Next to the church and next to Blankets for Africa. Walking distance from als. We never needed to drive.

We and our dogs felt very much at home and were able to walk into town to explore it. Many pet friendly restaurants and bars available. The town and surroundings are some of the neatest I have ever come across!

Everything you need is a stone's throw from Clarens Square. Accommodation is comfortable and tidy. Owners and staff are very friendly and help where they can. Most beautiful garden. Close enough to walk to everything, even in the evening. Secure parking. Could comfortably explore the town from there.

But seems a little neglected. There was load shedding on Saturday night no candle and matches. I have bites inside my thighs not sure if this was mozzies or fleas.
Maybe for the price a fridge and microwave in rooms - fan was not sufficient. Parking is outside in the street.

We enjoyed it very much. Before breakfast was included but now not anymore which actually makes it better as there are so many restaurants in the village where you want to eat. Don't forget Fouriesburg either. The guest house unfortunately had a geyser problem and I just want to express my thanks for the prompt service. I really felt so sorry for them it happened the day before Christmas but it can happen to anyone. Hope you were able to sort it out.

Was surprised to see how close to shops we were. Walking distance to restuarants makes it a bonus. Silence and a nice garden with areas to just sit.
Our friends who were in the detached cottage had a microwave and fridge, etc. who was not in the room we found. So, in that busy heat, we did not have fresh milk or cold water or something we could keep our cold. I only feel for the same price as the cottage, we should've had a better deal.

The room was very basic but clean and tidy. We really only slept there - the rest of the time we were in town. The big advantage is you don't have to drive at all - location is incredibly convenient. People who own it very friendly and helpful.
We were 3 adults so our stay, with the extra room, was a perfect fit. Even though we were in the center of town, the tranquility of the garden was a lovely milieu. Our visit was just a quick overnight stay and we had to see and experience everything Clarens had to offer in a hurry. So Rosewood Corner was the perfect choice.
Good basic accommodation in a good location. We were under the impression that breakfast was supposed to be included, but it wasn't.- name said B&B when we booked. Now see that it just says Rosewood Corner. It was very cold and our heater was not working.

We had a lovely stay in Rosewood Corner, even though it was freezing in Clarens. As constructive criticism, I think the owner can pay more attention to smaller details. You can see that the place has been running for quite some time and not everything is brand new anymore. The water pressure in the shower can really be looked at.

Always glad to find a spot in Rosewood Corner, it's our preferred place of stay in Clarens. Breakfast is good, the rooms are comfortable and private and the location is perfect - you literally park your car when you arrive and walk everywhere. Very central. Hosts are hospitable and easy-going, morning chats over breakfast always a nice way to start the day.

My daughter and I had a mother-and-daughter-week. Breakfast was delicious. Owners very hospitable. Car parked outside on sidewalk but it's perfectly safe under shaded trees and guesthouse is only 2 minute's walk from town.
We had a great stay, the location is very central and you can explore the town on foot. We were kindly received.

We enjoyed it very much. The owners are extremely friendly. The guesthouse is part of the town, but doesn't give the feeling that it's too crowded. The rooms are pretty, and although eating together was a bit strange, socialising with the others was great! I highly recommend the place. Coming from Gauteng, we were a bit sceptic about the parking but everything was fine.

We had an amazing three day stay with Ewald and Shelley at Rosewood Corner. Their hospitality, kindness and willingness to assist or advise with any questions we had was top class, where one couldn't have asked for more. Rosewood Corner boasts a beautiful garden and is walking distance to every restaurant, art gallery and shop in central Clarens, as well as all of Clarens' hiking trails. The morning breakfast, with our fellow guests on table, was lovely and very tasty, which filled us up, properly, for the entire day. We will most definitely go back to Rosewood Corner when visiting Clarens.
Received very hospitably. Immediately felt at home. Rooms neat and very tastefully equipped with bedding and finer 'detail'. Rooms were cleaned every day, also with clean towels in the bathroom. The owner and his wife make you feel so at home, help carry luggage out of the vehicle, recommend places to see and things to do, eg hiking trails, river rafting and paddling trips. It was a pleasure to stay there for the 4 nights. They make you feel special. The breakfast is great. Everything is offered in a standard way. We can absolutely recommend the place. Definitely our next visit's stay.
Rosewood is a lovely place to be. There is a lovely garden on the corner of the village. By foot you can visit the shops and restaurants, also during the evening. A good breakfast completes with a good conversation with Laurens.
We felt very safe. Would just suggest a shower is part of the rooms, my dad was with, and found it difficult in the bath and also fell. It's not Rosewood Cottages' fault, but perhaps just important for future guests who might fall.

The room is very small. The bathroom facilities are not modern. There wasn't even DStv, and only one sports channel. The vehicle had to be parked in the street, not very safe.
